At Be My Bear, product safety is a top priority. All of our products are tested to meet strict UK and European safety standards, ensuring they are safe, reliable, and suitable for their intended use.

Safety Information

All of our products conform to current legislation and regulations, including the following key standards:

EN 71-1: Safety of toys – Mechanical and physical properties

Our plush toys undergo a range of physical safety tests, including drop tests, push and pull tests, choking and suffocation assessments, and checks for sharp edges and puncture risks.

EN 71-2: Safety of toys – Flammability

All plush materials are tested to ensure they do not easily ignite and meet required flammability standards.

EN 71-3: Safety of toys – Migration of certain elements

Materials and surface coatings are tested for the presence of harmful substances, including heavy metals such as lead and mercury, as well as other restricted chemicals.

Ongoing Quality Assurance

In addition to formal testing, we work closely with our manufacturing partners to maintain consistent quality standards across all products. This includes regular checks during production and prior to shipment.
